Twenty (20) year celebration of Masakh’iSizwe Bursary Programme

On Saturday, 14 March 2026, Western Cape Minister of Infrastructure Tertuis Simmers will attend the 20th-anniversary celebration of the Masakh’iSizwe Bursary Programme, marking two decades of dedicated investment in South Africa’s built environment and engineering sectors.

Since its inception in 2006, the programme has moved beyond mere financial aid to become a critical pipeline for professional talent, supporting over 1,200 bursars with an investment exceeding R200 million.

The ceremony will not only reflect on the legacy of graduates who now lead in the private and public sectors but also welcome new bursars for the 2026 academic year.
