Minister Simmers to open upgraded Louis Fourie Road in Mossel Bay

On Friday, 16 October 2026, Provincial Minister of Infrastructure Tertuis Simmers will open the Louis Fourie Road upgrade project in Mossel Bay. Louis Fourie Road (Route R102) links Mossel Bay to Diaz Beach, Voorbaai and Hartenbos. This R530 million investment by the Western Cape Department of Infrastructure over four years marks one of the biggest single government investments in the Garden Route District Municipality. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at the Langeberg Mall intersection to mark the occasion.
