McGregor Bridge reopened

The Department of Infrastructure is pleased to announce the full reopening of the McGregor  Bridge to all classes of vehicles.

Following the severe flood damage to the bridge  and its approaches, temporary pedestrian access  was restored as quickly as possible. Today's  reopening now provides much-needed relief for  residents, businesses and all road users.

This milestone is the result of the dedication and  hard work of our engineering teams, contractors and partners, whose commitment has restored yet another vital transport link for our communities.

While the bridge is now open to traffic, construction activities are not yet complete. We ask all road users to exercise caution and adhere to the temporary signage, as crews remain on site to complete road markings and other finishing works.
