EPWP Contractor Development Structured Training Programme

Please take note of the following Accredited Training

CIDB Grading Levels 1 – 2 Contractors:

The Western Cape Department of Infrastructure, as part of the EPWP Contractor Development Programme are recruiting candidates/contractors for the eight-week accredited training programme. Closing date is 19 September 2025.

The training will be held at one central venue in the Cape Winelands area in Paarl. Details of the venue and training dates will be forwarded to successful contractors in due time. 

The training will be conducted over eight months; five consecutive days per month. 

Training modules

• Enterprise Development                            
• Labour Intensive Construction and Innovation
• Health and Safety
• Contract Management
• Surveying Techniques
• Site Administration
• Training is CETA Accredited.

Who can apply for the programme?

• CIDB Level 1 to 2 GB/CE registered contractors.
• Active in the industry for at least 2 years.
• Age 25 and older.
• Permanent resident of the Western Cape.
• Valid South African ID document.
• You must either be the owner/co-owner of the company

Are there any fees concerned?

• The training is free, but you must dedicate your time for the period of the training.
• Contractors must arrange their own transport to and from the venue.

To apply, you must submit the following:

• Completed Application Form in full.
• A clear and Certified copy of your South African Identity Document. 
• Educational Qualifications
• Proof of CIDB Registration
• Summary of your construction working experience.
