Metro District Health Services: Overview

Metro District Health Services' core business is to render a comprehensive primary health service, mainly to lower income groups in the Metropole. The Directorate strives to deliver a quality, affordable, accessible, efficient health service to all the people in the metropolitan region. It does this through the establishment of public health services, Level 2 hospital services and the provision of health service support. It also establishes, supports and cordinates comprehensive district-based health services.
