The Department of Transport and Public Works mandate is to:

  • Provide property management services and accommodation for provincial government departments.
  • Build roads and infrastructure.

  • Coordinate the Expanded Public Works Programme.

The department is determined to improve underperforming properties and foster strategic partnerships with the private sector.
