Entrepreneurship Week | Western Cape Government

Entrepreneurship Week

NATURE OF SUPPORT: Non-financial support

BENEFICIARIES: SMME’s

DESCRIPTION: The aim of the intervention is to increase entrepreneurial activity by hosting an entrepreneurship week in a municipal district or municipality.

The entrepreneurship Week will be dedicated to celebrating and supporting entrepreneurs. The Department of Economic Development and Tourism, the Small Enterprise Development Agency, District Municipalities and B-Municipalities in the province will play host to a week-long festival of all things entrepreneurial across the District or municipal area. Each B-municipality will identify key areas of concern in their regions that require more development and assistance in order to create an impactful event through workshops – all designed to inspire, promote, showcase and advance entrepreneurship.

The aim is to spark strategic dialogue between entrepreneurs, policy-makers and service providers, and to help entrepreneurs gain access to services, support, and opportunities.
