Provincial budget speech for 2024
Western Cape Minister of Finance and Economic Opportunities, Mireille Wenger, delivered the 2024 Provincial Budget Speech on 7 March 2024. In his speech she outlined the provincial government's priority spending plan for the next financial year.
The 2024 Western Cape Budget, "A Budget to keep building a Western Cape that works for all" is a pro-growth budget and 75%+ spend to benefit poor and vulnerable residents.
The 2024 Western Cape Budget provides total expenditure amounting to R255.29 billion.
The Western Cape Government will allocate a total budget of R84.00 billion in 2024/25; R84.38 billion in 2025/26; and R86.908 billion in 2026/27.
