Deaf Awareness: South African Sign Language (SASL)

(Western Cape Government)

The Western Cape Language Committee (WCLC) and Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) are committed to the promotion of South African Sign Language (SASL) in the province of the Western Cape. As part of the deaf community each and every one of us has an important role to play in ensuring an inclusive society that is sensitive to the needs of the deaf and the deaf-blind.
