Premier Zille and Minister Meyer to Host Western Cape Paralympic Athletes

Premier Helen Zille and the Western Cape Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Dr Ivan Meyer, will tomorrow, 9 October 2012, host a tea for Western Cape Paralympic athletes who were part of the recent South African Paralympic team that participated in the London 2012 Paralympics.

Western Cape members of the SA Paralympic Team excelled at the London 2012 Paralympics, harvesting 18 of the 29 medals won by Team SA.

Among those invited are gold medallists Charles Bouwer, Arnu Fourie, Fanie van der Merwe and Illse Hayes as well as silver medallists Anrune Liebenberg, Dyan Buis, Ernst van Dyk and Hilton Langenhoven.
