Announcement of Provincial Sport Summit to be held in February 2009

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport will be hosting the Provincial Sport Summit on Friday 27 February and 28 February 2009 at the Sport School in Kuilsriver.

The summit, themed "Creating Access and Opportunity for Mass Participation, Talent Identification and High Performance" will be attended by key people in the field of sport and will be addressing, among other issues, platforms to create better access to mass participation and an opportunity for high performance through the creation of effective talent identification and development. Other topics for discussion include, "Football World Cup 2010 and Community Development" and the role of sport and recreation in the community.
