Media Alert: New7Wonders of Nature Competition - Minister Meyer and Mayor De Lille Encourage the Public to Vote for Table Mountain

On Thursday, 25 August 2011, Dr Ivan Meyer, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport in the Western Cape, and City of Cape Town Executive Mayor, Alderman Patricia de Lille, will show their support for the "Vote for Table Mountain in the New7Wonders of Nature (N7W)" competition by voting on top of Table Mountain.

Today marks 77 days before voting for the competition closes on 11 November 2011, and Minister Meyer and Mayor de Lille would like to encourage the public to show their support and vote to make sure that Table Mountain makes the final list.

Table Mountain and Kilimanjaro are the only two sites from Africa in the final round of the competition.
