Old Mutual and Nedbank support Better Together Games

30 August 2017

On 29 August 2017, Old Mutual and Nedbank once again showed their support to the Western Cape Better Together Games, through pledging their commitment to the 2017 games. Representatives from both companies signed agreements with the Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Anroux Marais at Old Mutual Park in Pinelands.

The two companies have a long standing relationship with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS), which shows that the private and public sectors can work towards one goal. DCAS Chief Director of Sport and Recreation, Dr Lyndon Bouah spoke about the highlights in working with Old Mutual and Nedbank. “DCAS appreciates all the assistance that is provided by Old Mutual and Nedbank for the Better Together Games.” said Dr Bouah.

Minister Marais thanked them for their ongoing support and innovative partnership. “It is greatly appreciated that you have supported our department during uncertain times.” said Minister Marais.

The Better Together Games will start in Mossel Bay, with the Southern Cape/Karoo games taking place on 22 September 2017.

These partnerships create opportunities for government and the private sector to promote initiatives to achieve a healthier and more active province, BETTER TOGETHER.
