Western Cape Team competing in last day of Winter Games

With the National School Sport Championships Winter Games in Durban nearing the end, Team Western Cape has continued to perform well.

Team Western Cape, accompanied by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport’s Sport Development Directorate, is competing at the Games. The team was selected through a controlled league program where various school learners competed against each other and progressed from local, circuit, district and provincial levels in order to qualify.

Zanoxolo Phuthumani, an u/15 Kho Kho player said he was happy with how their team played: “We were better than all the other teams today. It was an awesome experience.” he said.

Petrone Josephs was upset after her team’s loss in the u/15 netball but said that they will do better next time.
