Minister Mbombo to Officially Conclude National Book Week 2014

5 September 2014

Tomorrow, 6 September 2014, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, will be delivering the keynote address at the closing ceremony of National Book Week.

The National Book Week initiative, which is in its fifth year running, started off on Monday 1 September and will conclude on Sunday 7 September.

This year, National Book Week official events took place in six provinces in order to allow local/provincial governments to host a number of events and to promote the culture of reading in their various communities.

In addition, the new and exciting Book Bus Tour that was launched in Gauteng at the beginning of this week will conclude its journey tomorrow. The tour bus featured National Book Week ambassadors, motivational speakers, authors and storytellers who all made their contribution at the different events in the various provinces.

We encourage members of communities in the province and members of the media to attend this event.
