Western Cape Government proud of Bryan Habana’s 100th test match milestone

5 September 2014

Former Western Province and Stormers wing, Bryan Habana is to play his 100th test match for South Africa in Perth, Australia, tomorrow.

This is an incredible achievement by this young man who has accomplished so much in his 10-year career.

Habana will be the fourth rugby player in South Africa to have played a 100 tests for his country. He will join the list of rugby giants like Victor Matfield, Percy Montgomery and John Smit.

Habana has continuously made South Africa and the Western Cape proud throughout the years. He has won the 2005, 2007 and 2012 SA Rugby Player of the Year award and has scored a total of 56 tries over the 99 test matches he has played for South Africa to date – a test rugby record in South Africa.

The Western Cape Government is extremely proud of Habana as he flies the South African flag high. We wish him and the rest of the Springboks well in the upcoming match against Australia.
