Invitation to Young Musicians and Emerging Bands

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport invites young musicians and emerging bands to audition on 20 July 2013 for the opportunity to perform at the Moshito Music Conference which takes place in Johannesburg from 21 to 23 September 2013.

Criteria for Selection:

• Emerging individual performers, quartets, quintets and big bands whose members are aged between 16 to 35 years.
• A proven track record of live performance.
• A cohesive sound (in the case of groups).
• A repertoire which includes uniquely Western Cape music and original material.
