Media Alert: Minister Madikizela to Verify Housing Corruption Allegations

4 February 2013

Western Cape Human Settlements Minister, Bonginkosi Madikizela, will personally go from door to door today to houses at the Boys Town housing project, in Nyanga, Cape Town, to verify if they have been acquired through corrupt means.

There has been on-going violence and disruption of service delivery at the Boys Town project. One of the local factions involved in disrupting the project alleges that they are doing so in protest of the corrupt allocation and selling of houses. The group has requested that Minister Madikizela investigate these allegations, and today is his response to that call.

Venue: Boys Town construction site, Nyanga, Cape Town
Date: 4 February
