Minister Bonginkosi Madikizela to hand over 500 Title Deeds in Overstrand

Today, Monday 3 September 2018, Western Cape Human Settlements Minister, Bonginkosi Madikizela, will hand over 500 title deeds to disabled and elderly residents in the broader Overstrand Municipality.

The handover is part of the Department’s strategic objective to empower vulnerable citizens through ensuring security of tenure and to inculcate a sense of ownership and responsibility in housing beneficiaries.

The title deeds handover program is part of the Overstrand Integrated Residential Development Programme (IRDP) Housing Projects that were initiated by Municipality to alleviate housing shortages in Overstrand and to accommodate qualifying beneficiaries from Hawston, Mount Pleasant and Kleinmond.
