More Than Sixty Paarl Residents To Receive Their Title Deeds

9 March 2017

Today, Friday 10 March 2017, the Western Cape Human Settlements Minister Bonginkosi Madikizela, along with the Executive Mayor Conrad Poole of Drakenstein Municipality, will hand over in excess of 60 title deeds to recipients of the Drommedaris Housing Project in Paarl.

The award winning Drommedaris Housing Project is a mixed development consisting of Breaking New Ground (BNG) units; semi-detached, double-storey and free standing units.

The Department delivered a total of 1567 houses in this project, which forms part of government’s Enhanced Peoples Housing Process (EPHP) programme. The total project costs amounted to more than R130 million. In this housing support programme (ie. EPHP), residents get actively involved and contribute to the building of their homes.

One of the Department’s strategic focus areas is to ensure that the most vulnerable are prioritised for government housing support. Elderly Paarl residents will be among the recipients prioritised to receive their title deeds tomorrow.

All media is invited to attend.
