Minister Madikizela To Inspect Airport Precinct Site Ahead of Major Development

Tomorrow, Thursday 16 February 2017, the Western Cape Human Settlements Minister, Bonginkosi Madikizela, will visit the Airport Precinct of the Southern Corridor Housing Project along the N2 to inspect the geo-tech investigation (assessment of ground quality) that has just started.

The Department of Human Settlements plans to deliver 7 400 housing opportunities for the communities of the informal settlements along the Airport Precinct, which include areas such as Lusaka, Barcelona, Kanana, Tsunami, Gxagxa and Thabo Mbeki.

Whilst at the site, Minister Madikizela will also use this opportunity to engage with community leaders about this development, which is in its first stage.
