Minister Madikizela to Handover Houses in Scottsdene, Kraaifontein

On, Wednesday 18 March 2015, Western Cape Minister of Human Settlements Bonginkosi Madikizela, Deputy Minister of Human Settlements Zoe Kota-Fredericks and the executive Mayor of Cape Town Patricia De Lille will attend the official handover ceremony of housing units to beneficiaries of Scottsdene social housing project in Kraaifontein.

The overall Kraaifontein development is to yield a total of 2 200 housing opportunities for people living in Kraaifontein, Scottsdene and other surrounding areas. The 2 200 housing opportunities include 1 100 Social Housing and Market Rental Units, 340 Community Residential Units (CRU) subsidised rental units through the City of Cape Town, 550 fully subsidized Breaking New Ground (BNG) units, and  210 freehold affordable serviced stands with a choice of housing plans.

There will be opportunities for photos and interviews.

Directions:
From the airport take the N2 towards Khayelitsha, then join the R300 off-ramp then N1. Once on the N1 take the Okavango turnoff and then turn right into Okavango road. Carry on till the end of that road (Ou Kaapseweg) and then turn right. On the third robot turn right again leaving the scrapyard behind you. Carry on straight at the end of that road you will see the development on your right hand side
