Department to Fund Provincial Sport Federations

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport is proud to support sport federations who are willing to work together and engage in meaningful partnerships with the community and other role-players in the Western Cape.

Every year, the Department funds various federations for their contribution to the development of sport in the province. This year’s sport federation funds will be handed over at four separate regional events. In total an amount of R3.38 million will be transferred to sport federations across the province after the process of consultation with the federations.

On 9 April 2013, the South Western Districts (SWD) ceremony will take in Mossel Bay, followed by the Metropole in Bellville on 12 April 2013. The West Coast ceremony will be held in Saldanha Bay on 18 April 2013 and the Boland ceremony will be held in Stellenbosch on 24 April 2013.
