Minister Plato to Hand-over Mobile Safety Trailers at Athlone Stadium

Monday, 18 March 2013, Dan Plato, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, will hand over mobile safety trailers to six City Improvement Districts (CIDs).

The CIDs who will be receiving the mobile safety trailers operate in Athlone, Blackheath, Cape Town City Centre, Parow, Triangle Farm, Voortrekker Road Corridor and Vredekloof.

City Improvement Districts, which operate in special ratings areas, are a vital player in the field of increasing safety for all people in the Western Cape, with 24 CIDs operational throughout the province. Hundreds of people work in the CIDs to improve our areas and address the root causes of crime in a sustainable manner.
