Media Alert: Premier Zille to Chair Premier's Council on Skills

On Tuesday, 12 February, Premier Helen Zille will chair the Premier’s Council on Skills (PCS) in Bellville. The PCS is comprised of representatives from government, higher education institutions and business, and works to identify skills gaps in high-growth potential economic sectors of the Western Cape economy, and to foster public-private partnerships that drive demand-led skills development to meet these needed skills.

The workshop tomorrow will follow up on the plans and commitments from the previous PCS meeting of July 2012, and will have an emphasis on such areas as the green economy and the oil and gas sector.
