Magnificent Fridays Hit the Western Cape

Magnificent Fridays are back and ready to captivate the nation with the same momentum and bustle that enthralled South Africans before and during the 2010 FIFA World Cup Tournament.

The countdown has begun! With the 2013 Orange Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) kick-off just a few hours away, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport encourages people in the Western Cape to unite behind Bafana Bafana.

Paint your face with the country flag and proudly wear the colours of Bafana Bafana or any other yellow item on Fridays and on days when the national team plays. Also show your support by flying the national flag at home and in the office with pride, and blow your vuvuzela in true South African fashion.

Walk the talk by also encouraging your friends, family and colleagues to be part of the fun.  Let’s make every Friday a “Better Together” magnificent one!
