Minister Meyer Launches the Robben Island Sport Digitisation Project
On 20 September 2012, Western Cape Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Dr Ivan Meyer, in partnership with the University of the Western Cape and the Robben Island Mayibuye Archives, will launch the digitisation of the collection of sporting heritage artefacts from Robben Island.
The launch starts at 11:30 and will be taking place in the Auditorium at the University of Western Cape, Modderdam Road, Bellville.
The project forms part of the Western Cape Government’s promotion of heritage during the month of September.
