Minister Plato to Attend Langebaan "Blow the Whistle on Crime" Day

6 September 2012
Dan Plato, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, will be taking part in Team Langebaan's annual "Blow the Whistle" Safety Awareness Day on 8 September.

Peter Lindenberg, of Team Langebaan, said, "The objective of the day is to improve the relationship between the community and the Langebaan SAPS, and to this end we will have a number of SAPS members on hand. The day will commence with a march against crime, alcohol and drug abuse. This will be followed by a day of festivities, sporting activities for the youth and entertainment for which a number of sponsors are involved to support the community."

Minister Plato will be joining the safety awareness march from the Sea Breeze rugby fields and will later talk to the youth of Langebaan and surrounding areas about the importance of the police and how working together with the police can make their communities safer.
