Media Alert: Gynae Triage Opens

Groote Schuur Hospital will have the official opening of the Gynae Triage. The upgrade took place in the ward after a generous sponsorship from MERCK/MSD.

The upgrade included making private cubicles in the ward, painting the area, getting new chairs and generally making the ward more private for the woman coming in. The ward also has a Tubezela room with showers for rape victims, and ultra sounds can be done.

The unit is very proud of the new ward because better service can be provided to the patients. Confidentiality is very important to patients in this ward and this is exactly what they will get.
