Media Alert: N2 Albertinia Motor Vehicle Accident

The Western Cape Department of Health's Metro Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Metro Rescue is currently still on the scene of a motor vehicle accident on the N2, 10 kilometers from Albertinia in the direction of Riversdale.

Two cars, a Opel Corsa and a Mercedes Benz, were involved in a collision at 12:02 this afternoon, and both cars overturned.

The driver and two occupants (i.e. one male and 2 females) of the Opel Corsa were fatally injured and died on the scene. One other occupant of the Corsa, a woman, was seriously injured and was taken per Air Mercy helicopter to George Hospital.

The female driver of the Mercedes, was seriously injured and taken per ambulance to Bayview MediClinic in Mosselbay. Three occupants of the car (i.e. two females and one male) sustained mild injuries, and were taken per ambulance to Bayview MediClinic.
