Overberg accidents

The Western Cape Department of Health's Metro Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a taxi accident on the R319 tonight at 18:00.

A taxi overturned about 20km past Bredasdorp in the direction of Swellendam.

Two adult men were fatally injured in this accident. A one year old girl was seriously injured, a one year old boy and two adults (one male and one female) sustained mild injuries. Two other adults (one male and one female) sustained minor injuries.

All patients were taken per Metro EMS ambulance to Otto du Plessis Hospital in Bredasdorp.

Earlier today a motorbike was involved in an accident in the Houhoek Pass between Botrivier and Caledon. A woman was fatally injured and a man sustained minor injuries in this accident.
