Temporary Closure of Beaufort West Museum

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport and the Board of Trustees of the Beaufort West Museum announces the closure of the Beaufort West Museum for construction during the period 14 July to 31 September 2010.

The major refurbishment will result in the upgrade of the museum and installation of a new permanent exhibition in the Eric Louw Memorial Hall. The Department is of the view that the upgraded museum will provide world class services to the people of Beaufort West and contribute towards the development, promotion and conservation of our heritage and sustainable tourism within the Beaufort West Municipality.

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport and the Board of Trustees of the Beaufort West Museum apologise for any inconvenience caused during this process.
