Minister Allen and Provincial SAPS Commissioner Lt Gen Patekile to unpack Western Cape 1st quarter crime stats

Tomorrow, Western Cape Minister of Police Oversight and Community Safety, Reagen Allen, will engage the Western Cape Police Commissioner, Lt Gen Thembisile Patekile on the 1st quarter crime statistics of the province.

Following this engagement, a briefing will be held to unpack the crime statistics from a provincial perspective.

Minister Allen said: “The crime statistics clearly shows how impactful the Law Enforcement Advancement Plan (LEAP) is proving to be, and how the partnership at ground level with the SAPS and other Law Enforcement Agencies is working. In fact, it confirms why SAPS should immediately be devolved to a capable province such as the Western Cape. I’m looking forward to the engagement and the briefing.”
