Tomorrow, 8 June 2021, Western Cape Minister of Human Settlements, Tertuis Simmers will commence with his Ministerial outreach to the municipalities across the Overberg District.
Accompanied by his senior executive officials, Minister Simmers will kick-off the engagement with the Swellendam municipality, where they will meet with the entire Council. This will immediately be followed with an engagement with the Cape Agulhas municipality.
On Wednesday, similar engagements will also occur with the Overstrand and Theewaterskloof municipalities. It is important to note that the Theewaterskloof engagement will only be virtual.
Minister Simmers said: “I’m looking forward to these engagements, as it will allow us to present the Western Cape Department of Human Settlements’ budget for the 2021/22 financial year and discuss various matters related to human settlements.
I’m particularly excited about the sod turning ceremony for our deferred ownership pilot project which will be held in the Cape Agulhas municipality. I will also engage and where necessary, assist our elderly to register to be vaccinated.”
Citizens across the Overberg District can follow the different proceedings live on Minister Simmers’ face book page, https://www.facebook.com/HumanMinWC
