Minister Madikizela to brief media following Gugulethu tragedy investigation

Tomorrow, Thursday 25 February 2021, the Western Cape Minister of Transport and Public Works, Bonginkosi Madikizela, will brief the media on the findings of an investigation following the tragic death of four children who died after falling into a sand hole at the N2 Borcherd’s Quarry intersection two weeks ago.

Following this tragic incident, Minister Madikizela instructed the Western Cape Department of Transport and Public Works to conduct an urgent technical investigation to determine what happened.

Minister Madikizela will use the media briefing to unpack the findings and recommendations of the technical investigation.
