COVID-19: Minister Madikizela to assess public transport state of readiness

The Western Cape Minister of Transport and Public Works, Bonginkosi Madikizela will tomorrow, Wednesday 18 March 2020, visit the Cape Town Bus Terminus and the Cape Town International Airport to assess the state of public transport readiness in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In response to the President’s national disaster declaration following COVID-19 outbreak, the Western Cape Government convened a dedicated work-stream cluster for transport which meets daily and is feeding back into Cabinet.

Minister Madikizela will announce the Department’s partnership into a response plan to COVID-19.
