Media Alert: SA Games - Minister Meyer to Speak at Send-Off of Team Western Cape

On Wednesday, 28 September 2011, Dr Ivan Meyer, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport in the Western Cape, will bid farewell to Team Western Cape as they head to the 2011 South African Games.

The SA Games, open to able and disabled men and women, will be staged in Polokwane from 2 to 7 October 2011. The Games provide a platform for talent identification and the opportunity for developing world-class sport stars to stand out.

Thirteen sporting codes (able-bodied and disabled), including the Sevens Rugby, Netball and Swimming, will be representing the Western Cape.
