Tomorrow, radio DJ Carl Wastie and Minister Debbie Schafer will be engaging learners at Fairmount Secondary School - 9 Maroon Rd, Parkwood, Cape Town – as part of the WCED anti-bullying campaign: “Raise your voice and not your phone campaign”.

The campaign, this weekend, was awarded a “merit” at the “One Show” awards in New York. The One Show is one of the most prestigious international awards competitions in advertising, design, interactive and branded entertainment. It also recently won a silver and a bronze award at the IAB Bookmark Awards.

Please see video presented below which outlines what the campaign entails and how it is being expanded into the school curriculum - please take a look to see what the campaign is about!

Tomorrow, Carl Wastie and Minister Schafer will be addressing learners at Fairmount HS on the dangers of social media bullying and how to channel their emotions and feelings of negative self-worth, instead into positive areas of encouragement and support.

It is a positive and interactive engagement with learners on a topic that is all too familiar in our schools.
