Long Service and Cultural Affairs Awards to be presented by Minister Marais

MEDIA ALERT: 2019 LONG SERVICE AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS AWARDS TO BE PRESENTED BY MINISTER MARAIS

As we enter the annual award season, Minister Anroux Marais will this evening present Long Service Awards to officials of the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) in Stellenbosch.

The ceremony will honour long serving officials for loyalty, commitment, dedication and their significant contribution to our vision of a socially inclusive, creative and active Western Cape.

Officials are due to receive awards for 10 – 40 years in service of the public, indicative of their passion and perseverance in bringing about positive change to the province.

Tomorrow, 9 March 2019, Minister Anroux Marais will deliver the keynote address at the annual provincial Cultural Affairs Awards ceremony, held this year at the Artscape Theatre. Click here for the winners.

The Western Cape Cultural Affairs Awards are held annually to celebrate individuals and organisations in the Western Cape who make a positive contribution in the Cultural Affairs sector.  Awards have previously been bestowed on organisations and individuals who have made a profound impact within the Arts, Culture, Language, Heritage, Museums, Archives, Geographical Names and Libraries sectors in the province over the years.

Time:           17h30
Venue:        Artscape Theatre Complex.
