Cecilia Makiwane Awards 2018 Winner - Noluthando Tibini

Noluthando Tibini, Clinical Nurse Practitioner at Ruyterwacht CDC was recognised as the 2018 Cecilia Makiwane Awards winner. With more than 30 years of service in the nursing fraternity, Noluthando is lovingly referred to as ‘Ma Tibini’ by her colleagues, a testament of her selflessness, kind heart and willingness to always help. “Kindness and compassion have always been considered synonymous with nursing, I strive to continue this trend,” says Noluthando

Noluthando is an active and caring member in her community. She volunteers her services at the soup kitchen at a Gugulethu Church over weekends and is a member of the neighbourhood watch in her area. “I am a first aider, facilitate basic first aid training to members of my community and support the Unakho Orphanage by donating unused clothes and toiletries for the orphanage,” says Noluthando.
