Multi-Million-Rand Housing Project Launched in Bredasdorp

Western Cape Human Settlements Minister Bonginkosi Madikizela launched the multi-million Bredasdorp Site F Housing Project with a sod-turning ceremony on Thursday 18 October 2018.

The event marked the commencement of construction of 490 housing opportunities. The Bredasdorp Site F Housing Project is an integrated mixed development targeting backyard dwellers, Zwelitsha residents and the most deserving beneficiaries registered on the housing demand database. Provision will also be made for farmworkers from surrounding farms who are registered on the housing demand waiting list.

This will be an opportunity to move them closer to much needed community facilities such as schools, health care, sports facilities and the central business district and work opportunities. The Project is worth R64 million and was approved in June 2018.

The anticipated completion date is the end of this financial year.
