Minister Plato to Join Neighbourhood Watch/SAPS Patrol at Noordhoek Beach

13 March 2012

Tomorrow, Thursday, 15 March 2012, Dan Plato, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, will join a beach patrol at Noordhoek Beach.

Recent reports of muggings on the beach have prompted Minister Plato to visit the area with the local neighbourhood watch, CPF and SAPS to send a strong message to criminals that crime will not be tolerated.

Minister Plato said, "This is not yet a hotspot, and is still a safe beach to walk on. I want to keep it that way; that is why I want to send a strong message to the criminals in this area and ensure that locals and tourists can carry on enjoying our beautiful beaches."
