Examiner of Vehicles (EOV) training achievements

During the first six months of 2018, Gene Louw Traffic College (GLTC) trained a total of 24 students for the Examiner of Vehicles (EOV) qualification in two groups. A third group is currently undergoing training.

The first group comprised 11 students, eight men and three women. One each came from Overstand Municipality, Swellendam Municipality, and Breede Valley Municipality, two came from Western Cape Provincial Traffic Services (PTS), and six from the City of Cape Town.

The second group consisted of 13 students, nine men and four women. Two were from Matzikama Municipality, five from PTS, and six from the City of Cape Town.

The first group made GLTC history at Gene Louw Traffic College because all 11 passed their final theoretical and practical assessments cum laude. The Top Achiever Overall in the first group was C Stassen from the City of Cape Town, and she was also the best Practical and Theoretical Achiever.

The top Achiever Overall in the second group was BE Williams from the City of Cape Town, and she was also the best Theory Achiever. The Best Practical Achiever award went to SR Fredericks from PTS.

The achievements of these EOV students would not have been possible without the commitment, knowledge, and skills of the GLTC facilitators: Adriaan Smith, Zukile Kona, Leslie van Oord and Frans Foot, under the able leadership of head of component Bradley Singh.
