Minister Grant to officially open the Swartberg Pass

Tomorrow, 10 April 2018, Minister of Transport and Public Works, Donald Grant will officially open the newly completed Swartberg Pass in Prince Albert.

This almost 12-month long project was initiated in April last year, following flash folds in the area that caused significant damage.

The Swartberg Pass is an important road in the Prince Albert area, providing key economic linkages, as well as being a popular tourist destination.

Minister Grant will preside over the ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the road.

There will be opportunities for photographs and interviews.

Venue:  Swartberg Hotel, 77 Church Street, Prince Albert (Ribbon cutting will take place on the Swartberg Pass Poort area, before guests head to the Swartberg Hotel for formal proceedings).
