Minister Grant to brief media on outcomes of Festive Season road safety effort

Donald Grant, Minister of Transport and Public Works will brief the media on the Festive Season’s enforcement and road safety efforts as well as the road death statistics for that period on 28 February 2018. The festive season spanned 1 December 2017 until 31 January 2018.

Minister Grant will be joined by Mr Farrel Payne, the Director for Traffic Law Enforcement in the Department of Transport and Public Works.

Minister Grant will be:

• Releasing the road death figures for December 2016/January 2017 for the Western Cape,
• Releasing Provincial Traffic enforcement statistics for the festive season, and
• Speaking about some of the various Safely Home activities and campaigns rolled out over this period to improve road safety in the province,
• Looking forward to future campaigns and focus areas.
