Traffic Wardens - Graduation
On 6 December 2017, 19 Saldanha Bay Municipality officials graduated as traffic wardens after successfully completing three weeks of training at Gene Louw Traffic College (GLTC).
The group performed exceptionally well, with a class average of above 80%. The theoretical aspects of the course included the National Road Traffic Act and other relevant laws, and the practical component included point duty.
The newly graduated traffic wardens received their certificates from Executive Mayor Alderman Marius Koen and Municipal Manager Dr Pierre Voges. The training team was led by Chief Provincial Inspector Mario Snow. Other team members were Principal Provincial Inspectors Thembile Qunta, Nandipha Mavata, Leslie van Oord and Andrew Barnardo.
GLTC thanked the Saldanha Bay Municipality for again choosing the College as its preferred road safety training service provider. The College’s message to the graduates was “be safe out in the field and make your employer proud with the service that you will be rendering to the resident public and visitors during this festive season”.
