EMS Alert: EMS Responds to Smouldering House in Mossel Bay

At 08:02, Western Cape Government Health's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a smouldering house in KwaNonqaba, Mossel Bay. The cause of the smoke is being investigated by the South African Police Service.

Two ambulances, a rescue vehicle and a paramedic response car were dispatched. Three children (two males aged two and six and a 13-year-old female) were declared dead on the scene. An adult (female) in a stable condition was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation and transported to the Mossel Bay Hospital.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to the Mossel Bay Forensic Pathology Service facility.
