Human Settlements to host 2017 Provincial Annual Govan Mbeki Awards

Tomorrow, Friday 11 August 2017, Provincial Human Settlements Minister, Bonginkosi Madikizela will honour municipalities, contractors, developers and other stakeholders in the human settlements delivery chain during the Department’s prestigious Govan Mbeki Awards, to be held at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West.

The Govan Mbeki awards are an annual feature in the Human Settlements diary. The awards honour those who have performed best in the Human Settlements sector and have been running since 2008.

The awards are used to encourage and thank all the Human Settlements stakeholders who are making a valuable contribution to help government realize the goal of providing decent housing, security of tenure and comfortable living to all South Africans.

Winners of the Provincial Govan Mbeki Awards will represent the Western Cape in the National Govan Mbeki Awards to be held later in the year.
