The use of drone technology to conserve water in the agriculture sector is one development which will be showcased this First Thursday at the Ministry of Economic Opportunities.
This month, the Ministry of Economic Opportunities has partnered with the Western Cape Department of Agriculture and GreenCape to feature developments in smart technologies for sustainable agriculture.
Satellite technology to improve water management and the application of hydroponic systems for urban agriculture will also form part of the exhibition.
The event forms part of Alan Winde, Minister of Economic Opportunities’ campaign to make his office accessible to the public.
All residents are invited to network and discuss their ideas to grow the economy and add jobs with Minister Winde.
