The Championships ran from 10 – 13 July 2017 and the Western Cape teams did well to win many gold medals. Daneldi Potgieter, one of the u/17 Tennis gold medal winners, said: “I concentrated well and enjoyed the games. The team supported each other well.” Team Western Cape was accompanied and supported by staff members from the Sport Development unit at the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS).

DCAS is very proud of the athletes and teams who attended the Championships and who gave their all. Please see the final results at the close of the Championships  online.

DCAS offers support to athletes to compete and perform their best. Parents and communities should encourage their children to participate and develop their sporting talent. Let us grow our young sporting talent BETTER TOGETHER.
